The Uganda Essomero Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to building schools in Central Uganda, creating safe spaces for learning and empowering children with the education they need to build brighter futures.

Our Work
At UEP, we work directly on the ground with local leaders and communities, visit regularly, know the people we serve, and partner with trusted players to ensure every school we build is safe, supportive, lasting, and impactful.
Under the leadership of Fr. Matthias Kakooza, we have successfully built and opened two K–12 schools and a high school, and are now constructing a new tuition-based K–8 school in Katakala, Uganda.
